The Best Jon Boat Brands I’ve Tried or Researched

When I started shopping, I quickly realized not all Jon boats are the same. I dug into different brands and tried a few firsthand.

Tracker

Tracker boats are everywhere, and for good reason — they’re affordable and widely available. I’ve fished out of a couple, and they’re solid all-around boats.

Lowe

My first Jon boat was a Lowe, and it was a tank. Built tough, easy to modify, and it held up great.

Alumacraft

Known for durability, Alumacraft makes boats that last decades. I’ve never owned one, but I’ve fished in a friend’s, and it felt rock-solid.

G3 & Crestliner

Both brands get great reviews from anglers I trust. They tend to be a little pricier, but they’re built with attention to detail.

👉 Honestly, the best brand depends on budget and what’s available locally. But if you stick with the big names like Tracker, Lowe, Alumacraft, G3, or Crestliner, you’ll probably end up with a boat that’ll last.
