I’ve learned the hard way that things always break when you’re farthest from the ramp. That’s why I keep a small repair kit onboard. Mine includes:
- A multi-tool (pliers, knife, screwdrivers)
- Electrical tape and zip ties
- A small adjustable wrench
- Spare spark plugs and a pull cord
- A prop wrench and cotter pins
With just these, I’ve fixed loose wires, swapped a prop, and even patched a fuel line. A little kit goes a long way when you’re stuck on the water.
